Requirement

Ellis were approached by a customer who required a cable support solution in a joint bay. Space was limited and a number of cables needed to be accommodated for. The structures would be required to be supplied in kit form to be assembled on site, due to site and shipping restrictions.

 

Solution

Ellis modelled the available space and then developed steel structures to support the cables and hold the required loads. The designs were validated with hand calculations and also FEA software. Once manufactured the structures were load tested to ensure that they performed as the calculations indicated. The structures were manufactured from galvanised steel and bolted together. The stands were supplied in kit format for assembly on site.
